Independent certification confirms high standards for information security in API-based Open Banking solutions.

Munich, 29 July 2026 – BANKSapi Technology GmbH has successfully achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its information security management system. The certification was conducted by an independent certification body.

The certified scope covers the provision, operation and support of BANKSapi’s API-based banking and FinTech solutions. It includes development, maintenance, hosting, customer support, compliance and all associated business processes.

The successful certification confirms that BANKSapi systematically identifies and assesses information security risks and manages them through appropriate technical and organisational measures. The underlying processes and controls are regularly reviewed and continuously improved.

Greater security and transparency for customers and partners

BANKSapi provides companies with API-based Open Banking and Open Finance solutions. As a payment institution regulated by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, BaFin, BANKSapi also complies with the applicable requirements of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). The European regulation sets out requirements relating to ICT risk management, the handling of ICT-related incidents, operational resilience testing and the management of risks posed by third-party ICT service providers. It has applied since 17 January 2025.
